Well it sure was great to get out after being in bed all last weekend but no banner day. Hit the launch at 8am only to find it full was hoping the high water would keep some away, no luck. Shrink wrapped my net in my lake boat so stopped and bought a new one, 50$ at the launch I realize my tackle bag is back at home on the garage floor over to allseasons and drop another 100$...not off to a good start. Saw few fish on and the few I did just went back down and gone, we managed one beautiful chromer in two floats was beautiful till about 1130 then the wind picked up and leaves became a pain. Better than riding the couch.

Way better than being a couch jockey.

They'll be up there soon.
Word is they were flooding thru the eye real strong again today.

John, nice chromer!!!

Twobob, so were the people... bass fishing looks better and better every year at this point. This fishery is way over exploited!

Dime I wasn't suggesting anyone should fish there only that pod after pod was blasting thru according to upriver expert snaggers.

Well, a favored high water spot of mine lies within a bend of the river downstream from there. Used to fish it religiously. Not anymore. I've been thinking, I fished this river more consistently between age 11 and 21...very consistently. Now I find the desire less and less at age 33... I'm sure tuna can relate. This grasshopper may be transforming to an early old farts stage... tight lines guys

You will find that in reality numbers are meaningless and o'dark thirty isn't worth it.

#'s are meaningless because I have had good days with no fish at all,  sometimes it is the company or lack thereof
O'dark thirty on the other hand  is not worth it  "most" of the time.   I O'darked it a few times last year and had a real good time, even if there were some crowds.   Heck even met some guy up there once..............

Rt, great to hear you had a good time on the water. 2 weeks ago was zombie like but its definitely sparked a new circuit recently. And the trees are bare now about 100%... hope you hit them in time.

That was funny , Clint. Actually it was pretty cool. That is one pretty steel, John. On a scale of 1 to 10 it made the double digits on my scorecard.
