Well the difference a day makes.
Started in the lfz since that is where 13 and I saw the most steelfishes yesterday.
Nada.
Saw one darkening male hooked in about 2 hours.
Went to another spot and found a friends truck and decided to join him.
I had Emailed my days plan to him before leaving.
His first words to me were "I think you made a tactical error".
He had been out about an hour and had hooked 5.
 
He then proved what he said was correct.
 
In the next 2 1/2 hours we hooked 20 to 25 rustheads.
I'm a bad friend.
This was the best I could do getting the camera out in the rain.
If I won't chase my own fish why would you expect me to chase you to get pic of yours.

Now anybody that knows or has ever fished with me will be shocked by this but the fishes were so thick even I managed to hook up.
The only one I put to the beach.
12 or 13 pounds of sweetness.
This was one very hot fush.
Honestly the hits were so awesome that we were laughing out loud, talking to each other with our heads turn when fish ran or jumped or managed to bust us off some other way.
 

For all you members of PETA.
He got his licks in too.
Don't know if you can tell but that is MY blood all over my hand.

 

Now its gonna be a loooong time til next Tues.
All in all pretty boring.
Everybody stay home.
No fish in the river.

Glad you got into them. Now you got me getting the itch. I got to start tying some flies good ol baseball game tonight should be able to get a couple dozen done with all that excitement

Full disclosure I should add that we had 4 or 5 fish leap out of the pockets as they were going upriver.
The only reason we could think of was they were getting pushed by other fish because there were so many.
They should be waiting for you Jack.

Awesome twobob I will be there Friday with the flyswatter but with the higher water I plan to be pulling plugs and yelling FISH....FISH....FISH!!!! Don't mind bleeding a bit for fish like that, thanks for the great pics tomorrow is gonna be a long day at work for me.
