Well after many phone calls and pms I got my buddy from work to give up a day in the deer woods for some chrome( he hasn't seen sh*t in the woods anyway). Getting ready in the lot I decide to drain the rain water out of the boat and set the 3 plug rods in my hand on the ground...we all know where this is going. My buddy steps back and right on the pile of rods, snap and one gone. Lots of boats and lots of people, we launched at 830 altmar launch and saw 3 hooked up in 5 minutes 2 bottom draggers and 1 good flyswatter. Floated till the tail of fraisers before we could find a spot and it was on!
after that fish we couldn't find any spots till below trestle and again we let them out and smacked two.
Got a great pull at the top of the fridge and another at the tail of the can and we decided to float it again went 3 for five in 3 hours. Launched again and didn't find a spot till top of the wire and let them out, got kinda quiet and spots again were few. Made our way to the trestle and got a great smackdown at the tail.
One other swing and miss above pinball and that was it 4 for 7 and we kept two for his wife, really great day and the forcasted high wind was not bad at all. Took him to a cleaning station and a gentleman there getting some fish cleaned said he fished with my buddy and they went 11 for 17 on beads. Ill take the plugs all day, 3 of the hits had the rod tip touching the water and the fish in the can was a solid 15. Cant get back till Friday and just hope the water stays up. Go get them boys they are hungry, will also say most fish we had on and I saw hooked were still in faster water, the root was the slowest water we plugged twice with no hits.
