Here is the report.   Left the house this AM with the sun shining.   Got 1/2 way up and decided to turn around because I forgot my rain coat.   Good choice!!!!
Stopped at Pineville to pick up some line to make leaders with because I was out 10lb.       Went down to my favorite spot and it was empty.  I worked that spot like you read about without even a trace.  When walking back I looked into  spot where a little pizz trickle comes in.    I saw a few fish milling around and went over to check them out.  I thought they were a few ho's or zombie kings.  There were no fewer than 6 browns milling around in there and one was a monster and he was beat up at that.  Tried floating a few flies by them. I could literally drop a fly on their heads.  No takes, left them in peace.  I guess they were in their resting.   Hit another spot and it was the same a few people here and there, but not even a sniff of a bite.
Stopped off at the wall and fished there  for a hour or so.   Saw 2 fish on and they were way up.
It was rainy, windy and the fish were just not ready to bite.  I am sure they were there, just not interested.  Too close to the water drop I guess.   Next weekend I will hit it again.
I probably should have went back up where I was yesterday, but just did not feel like the drive,  Listen to me complaining about a 40 minute drive.
Bad news is my neck is really acting up and now my arm is feeling with pins and needles sometimes.  I have been fighting pain in the shoulder from the neck for a few years, but this is far worse,  move  the neck just right an a shot of electric down into the hand.  Going to give it another week or 2 and then off to the doc's to  get my options.  Probably start with a shot, but I have a feeling that surgery is in my near future.  Will try to wait until spring at least because I cannot be layed up over the winter with the snow removal, but time will tell.  I would be out of commission for 4 to 8 weeks

I am no doctor though I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express (Batavia, NY)....I had the same thing 12 years ago....It was a vertebrae impingement at C7....It did improve completely, though it took several months.

Good report Clint as always . I'm a Dr. of sorts lmao and from my experience. It sucks getting old. My hamstring hurts, my back hurts and who knows what else. Being a lazy heavy equipment operator forced to shovel and labor work ain't being kind.I am always active at home but its still not the same . Thankfully walking , in and on water , woods helps.
Get well , a zing from a chromer might help too.

Jim I have a buldging disc at c 5 c 6 been fighting it for 4 or 5 years now.   Mostly shoulder pain, but this is new.   I could deal with the pain as it  waxed and waned  but I cannot deal with this burning tingling stuff.   I do hope it quiets own on it's own though.  Realistically though I am going to look into at getting it fixed because I should do it not when I am fairly young and before it gets worse.  It would be the same surgery Peyton Manning had.

Well I just watched Peyton play another masterful game. So I hope the results are the same for you, Clint. I also hope the shot alleviates the pain until you decide to have the more permanent fix.    Thanks again for the report. I live with lots of aches and pains from a life of  hard labor, but nothing like that. Makes me grateful for my luck. I would have liked to seen the brownies. I'm hoping for some in the SR, without having to drive  farther  out to O.O.  Oh yeah, way up is the spot to be  so far this year. Next time I'm heading  up there. Tough wading and landing fish but....fish to be had.

Clint I go through the same thing at least once a year. I go to the chiropractor and get fixed if i went all the time i probably wouldnt have it reaccuring. You have to be a little trusting though when they are twisting your neck but it always relieves the pain.
On another note I was hopeing to be up there today and tomorrow but on Saturday I had to get some stitches in my thump so I'm on the DL for a bit hopefully next week.

As HT says, this getting old definitely has its down side.  I will say that although all the casting thjis fall is doing nothing for the Arthritis in the shoulders and arms, all the walking with leg weights has me feeling overall better than I have all year.

We'll pray that what is ailing you is minor and can be worked out without the knife, Clint.  I would hate to see an end to the insightful and honest reports you have been providing.  As to missing the remainder of the season, if it is any consolation, the water will harden soon, and jigging does not involve as much arm!
