hot tuna
I know I told this story before but just so happens I was reading about this guide today discussing rotating.
One morning I get to this sweet spot at O'dark thirty. I'm sitting there and just before light I see headlamps coming down the trail.
They head straight for me and the guide says " we want to make a movie and would it be ok for his clients to fish " my spot". I told him I been sitting here for awhile waiting for light to fish this spot. I would be glad to rotate ( meaning fish for a little while then rotate) with your clients if they started at the top and fished down for awhile. He said ok . Well I hooked up right away and asked if they wanted to fish here. He said no not yet. Well after catching another he for sure wanted to fish there so I moved to the top. Thing was they did not hook up and didn't want to move after planting there. I fished about an hr and then asked what happened to rotating, his response was once they caught a fish for their movie they would. I left and lost all respect for the guide.
Now what brings me back to this thread is on his website he complains that people won't rotate a run/ pool .

Like said, I'm willing to share water and when asked I do and also ask others myself. Simple answer will be yes or no. To make it a mandatory rule , I wish no part of that style of fishing myself and do not wish to fish any water that rule happens.

10 grand to fish Nova Scotia. Hardly. All the salmon rivers in NS. are public water & can be fished without a guide. No expense other than the usual travel, lodging, food, etc.

The problem with fishing Nova Scotia or any of the provinces is that they shut down the streams and rivers at a moments notice if the run is low.
