Hittin the same place this afternoon looking for a skipper. Buck tag filled with the fork- ya know what that means--will likely see the big kahuna standing still broadside at 30 yards--   lol.
 Loooooveee skippers-cut it with a fork and ya can keep the liver. LOOOOVE  deer liver with  onions and bacon- all the warnings say only eat the young ones sooooo-

Trev, thats cool you got a buck.. I'm a meat hunter and horns mean nothing to me but body mass and size mean everything.. While I have not had any luck in the woods this year I passed on about 20 deer and only took the safety off once, and passed.. It was just an average sized doe.. We grind about 90 % of the meat so old and tough make no difference once it's ground.. Small and lean means more work for less meat..
I did however cut and grind 4 good size eaters from my hunting group of 4 so the scraps I got will have to do..
