So I am watching River Monsters and I listen to the guy say I am using a circle hook with the tip pointed inward so it hooks on the jaw and resists fowl hooking....I am looking at these Gamakatsu octopus hooks I use in 1/0 and it's the same deal, the tips are pointed inward towards the shank...They don't fowl hook...I didn't fowl hook with these bad boys last year in Altmar.....On another note, I've been reading that the food at that new lodge in Altmar is mighty fine...

I hear they are "foul" hooking "fowl" with 1/0 Gamakatsu octopus hooks and serving them with Salmon River caviar to the crowds that are rushing to eat there.
