I've had the privilege of hearing Pete right in my living room. We have a cherished photo of it. Nancy did much volunteer work when she was young and was friends with Pete. One of the true iconic legends of American music. His legacy goes far beyond the banks of the Hudson and his influence on society will be carried on by all that loved him and what he stood for. Without him and Woody, life as we know it would be much different.
I thought Obama in his SOTU blather would have made a mention of his passing, but as far as what I heard, he didn't. It's probably quantitatively provable that Pete Seeger did more POSITIVE good for this country singing, then POTUS has done with ,well...... his oratory. Change my AZZ!
