So with only 5500 coming in and 8k over the dam they are lowering the res.  Pineville shows 8400 so not much run off is local.

Spawning commences in the mid 40's, but they will keep going once they start, even if it gets colder.  When the flow gets up there, there may be spots on the bottom that are still sheltered enough for them.  Suffice it to say that the species did OK before hatcheries in their native range, and some of those rivers make the SR look like a short ditch.  And, late as it is, there could still be freshies after this goes down, I know people that have caught bright finger lakes spawners in June.

8400-well -that's the end of any thoughts for  this trip --Just hope there are a few left after the drop.
Unfortunately have seen some spawn in the past where there is no water in a week or so.

From what I have seen and read (I take the temp sometimes) water has not got above 40.   Granted I did not take any temp dung the 80 degree weather , but that water was fooking cold the Friday before the the big raise.  With water not yet to 40 and the vast majority of water coming from very cold snow pack  have the majority of fish started to spawn or will they wait?   I know the hatchery has taken eggs so they are loose.

Our rustfaces have been known to spawn at much colder temps than the books say they will.

740 going in and 2250 going out until tomorrow,   why just drop it 250?????    Seem like they are going to draw it down a little bit.  7 day look fairly dry so we will see what they do next week.

Dad said he took a ride up north of Redfield on the tug and said there is still a fair amount in the woods.  Said anyplace in the shade still had the ground covered and many roads still had banks
