From what I heard there is not a ton of snow left up there, not saying it is gone, but going fast.   I think it will 1200 to 1800 by mid week then 500 next week. This is of course baring significant rain,   ground is soaked so it wall all run off.   I was looking forward to fishing well into May. now lets see.  I hope they do not get flushed back down

Great pics Clint.  It appears that the reservoir is perhaps 90% of capacity.  Surprised that they would be dumping that much water with that much room to spare.

I'm guessing the forecast of 80s and some rain scared them which is a good thing.
Would have been better if they bumped it to 2 grand a week earlier.
All in all better safe than sorry.
Sucks to be me with things winding down here and me wanting to put off the off season shakes for another week.

5 to 750 would have been nice if it had stabilized for a couple days.

Just go 1/2 mile upstream, or try Eyre, or Russo's.  Unless you've been catching kelts for the last two weeks, they are still up there.

I've seen snow like that in Redfield and they were still looking at 6 feet in the woods back in Little John.  Based on the 18 feet + on the ground in some parts of the Central Tug, at peak, I'd say you could still have a fair bit of water to come up there, and it is just lucky the rain has been holding off,

Ya but I don't like that water as much.
Plus fishing over skittish fish isn't my thing.
The blood flows at the time of the big bang not during the fight that ensues

Maybe its time to check the ponds for perch.

Well they raised it to 8k,  the fish will probably get flushed back to the lake.

Am I correct thinking that these fish like to spawn in the mid 40's for temp.  If that is the case the river is only 38.  Will they stick around or drop eggs early and get flushed back.

Just wondering
