My buddy and i launched a boat at the Kahle Lake southern "ramp" - don't do it, use the north ramp - and spent the day fishing.  windy weather, weedy way out into the lake and warm water.  me maybe caught 15 bass up to 14 inches, a few very nice size gills, one small perch and zero crappie.  The characteristics of this lake have totally changed due - in my opinion - to the straw hats.

we met a couple at the ramp who said the lake is to be drained to repair the dam this year.  can anyone confirm this?  schedule?  would be fun to see the fish removal/relocation process.

PSU - many thanks for the response.  looks like drainage of the lake won't occur for a few years yet.  i wonder which "public reservoir" will receive the fish from Kahe.

Well...Piney Dam Reservoir is the closest.

Justus Lake/Two Mile is pretty close, but doesnt need fish. Tamarack and Kyle Lake do.
