I'm not too impressed with my lacrosse alphaburly pros. 2 seasons in and they have already faded to almost white across the top and one pull strap has busted. Just wondering what everyone wears and what you would recommend. I have 800 gram irish setter rutmaster and was debating on getting the uninsulated variety as well.

Can't help ya with your question Dave. I'm still trying to figure out why my, still NITB two years ago, chest waders shrunk while stored in my basement.

Stupid boots!!

I use Lacrosse for all my bird hunting and fog training. I consider them disposable. Typical life span is two years, although my current pair is into their fourth season.

Mine are uninsulated and cost $69.

Friends have Le Chamere and really like them, but I can't justify $450 for a pair of boots with what I put them through.

How tall are the muck boots? I go almost to the top of them in a few spots on the way in to my stand. I'm leaning towards getting a pair of mucks. Or the rutmaster 2.0 uninsulated. Still not totally decided

Question about muck boots... how hard are they to pull off? Are they a 2 man job like some brands or do they slip on and off pretty easy?

I have very wide feet and have a hard time getting any boots to fit. I wore insulated Northerners for years until I could not find them. Then I bought a pair of LaCross Burly's  800 insulate and use them for most of my fall winter activities. I get two seasons out of a pair. I can find no rubber boots that will fit my feet that are non insulated.
