Sat for the evening in 2B for doe after the front came through. Bordered on semi dangerous with all of the wind and falling limbs. Had a 15-16 wide big 6 point come through at 10 yards at 3 o clock. Nothing else. Camera check showed quite a few does there in the morning.

Not proud but due to my circumstance and health issues this year I shot a scrub buck in Ohio yesterday afternoon. My son had cameras on the property and there was 8 different bucks with only one being a shooter, as would have it this buck was never seen by us. I told him I had to cull him from the herd.lol Definitely a step back from my big 12 pts last year. Oh well what's done is done. Good luck in Pa gun guys.

A trophy is not always judged by its size.

Big Tuna congrats on your deer.

A wallhanger a trophy does not make.

The trophy is your adventure and memories leading up to and including the kill..... err, harvest.

Using a pointy stick certainly adds to the adventure.

Plus with your recent disability, I think you just shot a trophy of a lifetime.

Thanks guys. Yea it was one of my smaller rack deer but all deer are good, especially this year was rough on me with my problems. BTDT it might my trophy of a lifetime. I'll definitely never forget the hunt the shot, and my son being there to do all the work.lol.Sometimes it just fun to go hunting and not worry or compete about killing a giant deer and ask what will it score. My most memorable hunts where in the Mountains of WV. I killed a bushel basket of junkers, one horned spikes to a 8pts with a 17.5 spread. We camped in three tents one to sleep, one to cook, and one to keep our hunting clothes in. Great buddies, great food, a few adult beverages around a roaring camp fire. Memories that I relive in my mind. Those where fun hunts that we couldn't wait for,we plan all year to make our camp better. 4 of us made the trip every year. We filled a pickup full of bucks 5-8 was the norm. Fun times.

BeenThereDoneThat.
42 degrees, cloudy, wind variable and stupid out of the south. Rain in the forecast for this afernoon yet, plenty of snow remains over forest and field.

Primary trails are showing plenty of use in several of the areas but of course that is not a sure sign there is plenty of deer.

Planned on using my ground blind this morning however, it looks as if, something may have been using it for a trampoline.

Too dark to assess the damage so I chose to do a bit of still hunting and will return later this afternoon. Providing, it is not raining.

Film at 11........... maybe.
