Is Pymatuning really this slow?  Going there for the weekend.  Does anyone have an updated report on the fishing?  Walleye or crappie?

Went there Sat. May 9. Caught a mixed bag which is typical there. Some nice crappie, some jumbo perch and 2 legal walleye between the three of us. We had to move frequently and failed to find neither crappie nor perch in bunches. Water surface temp read 71 degrees at the highest. Stumps were packed early on but quite void of boats by around 2pm. We caught enough to keep interest but the pace was slower than past years' first trips.

Arrived Sunday...fished monday. Trolled worm Harnesses, 8-12 ft. Going home with 5 walleye in about 5 hours of fishing. Its hot bro, /was before cold front!

Drifting is 80 style fishing find structure and run that trolling motor until your battery pops!

You rarely receive much feed back out of pymatuning. Once you see the blue army its at its peak very close to past the peak. This cold front slowed the action but what it really did was extend the action into mid June. Suspended waleye you say? Mid June....go ask leadcore Larry!

Yep, and from mid June til Sept I am on that lake as much as possible.   Nobody in my way, ramps nice and open, the hotter the better.   Sure, the fish don't jump into the boat like a lot of these early birds want, but you fish hard and definitely get rewarded.  Not just walleye, either.  Still catch nice crappie and large cats.   A lot more relaxed atmosphere..
