What are a few decent places that I can get a good shore walk on the SR.  Thinking of taking the wife and dog.  More interested of walking on the shoreline and not in the woods, but a mix is ok too.  I got a few places in mind but looking for a few more. 

Pretty much all the way from Altmar to Frazier's under summer flows.
Not sure if walking the shore rocks is good for your neck or the wife though.
 

There's a boat launch upstream of the compactor hole that has a path for walking.  I believe it's the bridge that crosses at Pineville.

The wife can handle it fine she is in cross fit a few times a week, way better shape than me.   The neck is doing ok and I have been doing 3 to 5 miles a day on the road and cross lots at the farm, but I hear you about the rocks , I may just stay on the paths.   Looking for some walking with scenery , it gets boring doing the same loop every day and for all intense purposes I cannot drive yet so I thought I would get the wife to take me up there.  The path in Pineville is pretty wide and smooth in most places may try that.  Thanks all

Don't know how far it goes don't I have seen lots of couples walking it.

There's a series of trails out behind the Museum that go up to the far end behind Stoney's, or go down the other way behind Sportsman's where we went.  The trail going east out of the lot actually goes through forest and field before cutting down to the river.  With a little rock hopping you can go through the LFZ  to the upper. Cross on to the island, go up to bottom of Paradise. You can try to spot some Skamanias.  I hooked one mid-Aug about 5 years ago. Got some great jumps before it spit me.  It'd be a good time to explore the upper and check out some of the good spots.  It's a pretty walk in there from the lot and through the Hemlocks. It's the prettiest stretch of river to me.

Well I ended up walking around the hay field making sure the bales came out and being the beer/soda/water runner.  also gave the kids a tutorial on hay stacking on the bottom mow.       guess what, we are done with our first cutting so my dad can finally relax.    may try to walk up to the river next week.  I want to try an find a bunch of lead and buy a mold and make some split.

I Too was going to suggest the LFZ to the top.. Said it many times that the secret spot was my fav also before it got pucker bush creeked..
Save the coin on the mold.. Take the walk along that stretch and you may (should ) find plenty of tackle.. Bring clippers and a knife..
Plan B is to have someone, or take a trip to CT... I went there on a lead run 5 or so years ago and bought 1lb of bb ,3/0, 7 and yes #5's.. Still have over 1/2 of each.. Sucking lead fumes is not worth the hassle..

MIL lives in N.C.  so she brings me some for Christmas every year. When I get in a pinch she mails it up. I do find plenty of usable stuff, but I also find/have  some lead  that cannot be salvaged due to not having ears and or being pitched to hard or too many times.  Depends on how much more of that I find if I will get a mold, but your right it may not be worth it.  bait guy up the road makes his own and I just may give him the lead and he will give me back half in splits, that would be better than sucking up fumes
