When foul hooking becomes a subtle nuisance... my salmon season is over... I know they fall in to different stages once holding and resting up river but not my cup of tea.

I caught several kings in altmar using this fly.  When one of them was landed, I looked for the fly and couldn't find it.  That's because it was 6 inches down his throat and I couldn't reach it with my pliers so I had to cut the line and release him. 
 
I caught 8 in 45 minutes and called it a day as it was 4pm and it was miller time. 

What fly exactly are you speaking about?
I think we all know that black estaz fly you posted was certainly not i=on a 1/0 hook.
I still want to see this 1/0 gammy octopus hook fly you use.
 
How long and what test tippet do you run with your 1/0 fly?

You know that while let's say I had my doubts about clarist for a long time, this thread was to give him a chance to more fully explain himself not to bash.
I admit he is not making it easy not to bash but I'll wait a few more hours before making a final judgement.
I think it will be best when or if we all agree on troll that simply having a gentleman's agreement to ignore his posts might be the best solution.
