I will most likely stick with egg flies. I had some hook ups with them last year.

Can never go wrong with them Trobe. Egg pattrrns are A year round staple if you think about it. And if you tie them yourself they really only cost not much more than the price of the hook

I was reading the regs. Is it right that regardless of where you fish, you can have no more than 1/8oz. of weight on the line. I looked up that a #4 is 1/8oz.

Nope that is just in the zones, you can chuck a cannon ball in any other part of the river. Just have to have the weight no greater than 4 feet from the hook.

And watch out when that buckshot comes back at you!
 
At 350 cfs, you should be able to get away with a 3/0 at most!
 
Even up to 1000, you can get down with less than 1/8 oz.
