We're heading here (this was from our last venture in June) the end of next week to start vacation. The striped ones are moving heavy with lots of peanut bunker this year, just like in the glory days of the late 90's. Might be hard to pull up stakes after a few days and head to the SR.

Thanks, Dtrobe. Here's the same view with a striped freight train. I skipped silly season on the SR for decades and went to the coast instead.  Thanks to the great people I've met, it's not so bad if you can get a little room and actually fish. I'm really looking forward to seeing my friends on the river and sharing a drift. I've had some DAM good times.  I was married on this beach, though, so it's really close to my heart. It's our favorite place.  Hope this isn't considered a hero shot, if it is, the fish is the hero, the ugly dude with the beard's just along for the ride.Attachments are not available: Download requirements not met

2b, I don't know what chupes are, but I'll assume a clam?  Lots of little necks, and that's what the piece of land is called that is across the water in the pic. The clams in the Essex and Ipswich rivers are considered some of the best in the world. My wedding reception was in a clam shack.
