Clint, take a gander at the Sage 99 (9' 9") series rods.  I know they are pricey but the length may just be what you are looking for.  http://www.sierratradingpost.com/sage-99-series-fly-fishing-rod-4-piece-99-4-8wt~p~6449f/

I'm with Fichy, if you are planning on using it one handed most of the time, I would stick with 10' for the compromise between the added length and the added muscle stress.  11 would be nice, but I think it would end up being more of a spey casting tool.

I concur with Fichy..
An 11' is not necessary..My long rods sit idle..
I have a 10'  sage 7#.. my fave steel fly but not salmon.. I thought about another pole like an 11' switch.. WHY ?
At this point my rods work.. Most fly for me is in close be it indi or dead drift.. In spring when flows ar more the 8# ,
9-6" works well for swing and serves salmon too for fall, question again for me is why do I need another.. They both work well..

Why take the fun out of saying, "I have......"  He who dies with the most toys wins!  lol
When my days are done my wife will be giving away my prized possessions and at that point it won't matter what I bought or paid.  Just enjoy the ride.

No time frame, just whenever I get the itch to do it. May wait and see what Santa brings me. I think I want a new reel too.
