https://www.outdoornews.com/2019/08/26/michigan-angler-over-the-limit-by-1400-panfish/      I do wonder what he was using for bait. They should name him & other poachers so that we could let those skillet greasers know what we think of them.   sam

Sam the link worked perfectly.

What a story this one is. I'm not opposed to a daily limit but I gotta wrinkle my nose on the "two day" possession.

I for one, enjoy freezing fish for later consumption or passing onto family and friends when we meet. Plus ya never know if the stupid fish will be bitin when ya go fishin. So that two day possession thingy not to my liking.

That many bags of fish though, I have to wonder? Not that the guy wouldn't eat that much or has bunches of family and friends.. but dang.🤔

Bubba, I don't know the dudes situation as for loving fresh fish for dinner or how many family & friends he might have but I gotta agree, that's a lotta fish.

Has me wondering if he doesn't have a little business going. I hear selling fresh fish on the side, ain't uncommon.

Which is why there are panfish limits, and possession limits!

Lucky you mean the fish commish didn't set fish limits, assuring enough, so guys like me get a better chance to catch some stupid fish.

😡Those liars!!!

I agree with BTDT. 1400 is beyond excessive. I don’t fish in the winter, so like to keep some fall fish on hand. That said 50 panfish in the freezer is more than I ever have. I didn’t realize that possession limit meant your house too. I can definitely see a 2 day possession limit in your cooler. Again 1400 is excessive, but 60-70 fish that were caught over 2-3 months, waiting to have a large fish fry for a group of family and friends, shouldn’t be illegal in my book.

😳 Here's something I never gave a thought to.

Last year when leaving on our excursions I loaded the RV fridge with frozen (in water) fish I had caught (dumb fish😜) through the year.

What, if for some reason I would be investi.... err stopped in another state and a routine search conducted?

There would be no way possible for me to prove those fish were caught in and under PA's guidelines.

FYI, certain states require travelers to stop for search and seizure procedures.

Hell folks ya can't take citrus fruits into California, from another state. Your lemons will be confiscated at the check points at which you shall stop, subjecting yourself to a search.

How's that for "Freedom".

I don’t think they’re gonna get too bent outta shape over the one walleye and four crappies you caught last year are they? 😂
