Any reports on Kahle Lake recently? Haven't fished it yet this year and was going to go up this weekend and see how it is. Last year was pretty bad, the algea on top of the water was everywhere and only caught a handful of small largemouth the few times we fished it. Definitely not worth the hassle to launch the boat being that there is no dock and you practically got to get wet to do so. Hopefully it'll be better this year, if not, I'll just hit up the bass ponds in Knox or the pond right off 38 next to Kahle.

We caught about 20-30 over Friday and Saturday, biggest was 2.5 lbs the average were about a 1-1.5lbs. They put the dock back in which made it a hell of a lot easier to launch

we fished the Tuesday before bass opener (June 14) and did well on 13 to 14 inch bass - 52 total for both of us up to 16 inches.  but the pan fish were a bit disappointing - only a hand full of large bluegills, a few perch larger than 9 inches (biggest = 12.75, **** nice), no crappie.  minnow beat out worms a good bit.

launched out of the south - had to get wet and paddle out past the thick weeds.  fished in 10 to 12 feet of water.

a nice day on the lake - probably will get thicker weeds as the season progresses.

The blue navy has decimated the pan fish population on Kahle.

Went out last night...fishing sucked. Tried bobbers and worms for a bit outside the weed line...only little bluegills. Trolled a good bit of the Clarion side of the lake outside the weeds...pulled one big bluegill. Dude must've thought he was a walleye at heart, trying to eat a big ol crankbait

In order to keep friends of Kahle Lake up to date, I've organized a meeting with the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission on Thursday, Sept. 8, at 5:30 p.m. at the Salem Community Center, and I welcome all of you to join us.
The goal of this meeting is to organize efforts and develop an action plan to make improvements to the lake. I hope to see you there!
