Two of us fished Wilhelm (Bass) today ..Stiff wind and water clarity about 12"..Tossed crank baits and worked shoreline cover with "creature baits" etc. for nearly 6 hrs..Caught one two pounder and a couple dinks..very-very slow day..Marked numerous fish ( no doubt shad )..When the wind laid down hundreds of shad could be seen dimpling the surface. Won't be visiting Wilhelm again soon...Highlight of the day was watching a couple fledgling Bald Iggles soaring around..and having a great ham sammich and a cold Heiniken at one of the nice, new picnic tables...

PS...Wish someone could tell me why they (DNR - I guess) keep dumping herbicides into the lake to kill all the weeds ???  Anywhere there's shallow water, there's miles of DEAD weeds...What's up with that ?? One of the best bass lakes in in Pa..ain't no more

The dead weeds are from the algea bloom. As for a great bass lake... 5 bass 6 lbs plus this year...

Is the lake still lowered for the dam inspection? Said a ft down to look at parts.

Hey Outasync..Five bass over 6 lbs....very happy for you..Your obviously a better bass fisherman than me..as far as the  "perpetual" algae bloom killing the weeds...I noticed dead weeds in June and July..Seems like the weeds are never green !!
I did not observe the water level being lower than normal..

Don't think it's a numbers lake for bass, but there's some nice ones in there.
