Do any of you know of a well driller who might be able to sink one up at happy camp?
I believe the water table is about 6ft down there and will probably require a casing....we just want to be able to run water to the campers for flushing and showers.
thanks

American Auger. 10 years ago it was $1500 for 50 feet (minimum charge) and I think $10 a foot after. I am sure it has gone up. They drill not pound.

That's a deal and a half for sure! Gotta watch in Altmar going too deep though. Clint, those same guys drilled a geothermal well in downtown for a job I was on. I've heard differing views on pounding vs. Drilling though. Ours was drilled about 10 years ago and didn't hit water even at 130 foot. Took a high pressure burst of air To open the veins. Not sure if we got hosed or not, but was told by a few other people that a pounder would've revealed the veins much earlier. Of course being so deep the water is sulfury :P

BeenThereDoneThat.
Just can't help myself when a question or a problem is posed.  I know somewhere in my set of "Encyclopedia Britannica's"  (1950 edition)  there will be a answer that might just help someone out.

Darned if I didn't find sumpthin that might be worth takin' to the head for sum readin material.
