Today is honestly the first day I have got to fish since thanksgiving! I hit the ice once for 2 hours but not to really fish, its pretty sad but have been working like a dog. So water stayed up and was 900 with runoff this morning and we hit the river with every weapon we could bring, bucket of minnows, 5 weights, plug rods and bait casters. Plug rods won out with copper or gold hotshots, turned into a great day cant wait till I can do it more than once every 6 months!
Love empty lots.

first fish came from schoolhouse hole actually thought we would do better than we did.

WOW!!!...now that looks like fun! I don't know what the diff is between a Skam and a fall run fish so can't help but considering it's almost summer??? Get out there again and keep the pictures coming.

They clip the Skams as far as I know.

Looks like it could be a McLoud strain Domestic Rainbow, the fish they raise at Randolph.  Nice surprise this late in the season!

Nice job 3fan.
The Darkhorse t-shirt brings back memories of time spent in Cortland when I visited friends who went to school there.  That bar and Zorba's were two of the watering holes I frequented.  LOL

Now that's a smackdown,  John. Fish more!!!!!!!   Being the fish bum that I am, I actually have been to scenic Dunsmuir, Ca and caught McLouds. The flaming gills and band second Lucky's vote. They also stock them in Vt. They jump like crazy.  I haven't caught a smallie worth a **** this year. That's a nice one.

The McLouds were what Seth Green started with.  We used to get one once in a while in Spring Creek by Seth's old hatchery before it was the brown trout machine it has become and they still raised some there. Whirling Disease put an end to Rainbows at Caledonia.

Andy I think Barklay has then trained to stay on his property. Maybe a couple teamed up and escaped with the help of the prison tailor.
