Hudson is VERY slow for bigger fish now. I caught quite a few on poppers Sunday evening, but Alex's fish equaled any I landed. Still fun. In an hour or so I leave for the coast. Big moon tides, SW at 5-10, absolutely perfect conditions, except for the heat. Gonna throw large flies at night and low light 1/0-5/0,  the largest being Deceivers that are a foot long. . I'm due for a skunk.... Oneida, Ontario, the Ocean they all start with an O and all are big water- good luck on all of them or any others you can get on. HT- I hope the Ausable isn't bath warm and swamped with tubes (I bet you know how to get away from them, anyway) - I'm not much of a listener, so I hadn't heard Lukas until recently- Dude's excellent. Reminds me of John Fogarty  with some beach  mojo and  cool edginess thrown  in. Have a good time.

Have fun on the coast fichy. Yeah I'm pretty sure the Lunkers went with the 6500 cfs on top of 1000-3000 average for over a month... Bummer!!! Some friends of mine fished a few miles of bank a week ago and caught nothing over 2 pounds

Fished Oswego for a few hours tonight. Only landed a bunch of Gobi. They do work well for bait. I had a few bass crush some smaller ones under a bobber, but could not set the hook. Next time out I am going to take my float rod.

Fly snob that I am, I've got a pretty long life list of species that I've got on a fly. Goby ain't on it, so I might have to target them. From what I've read of them, they are some good bait. Have you gone to CP, Clint? Or is your float rod just a long spinner?  If you did go to CP, you gotta let me try it.

It's a spinner Charlie I have not made that move yet, but at some point I can possibly see it happening.
Pretty poor day on Oneida today..........

And not the bass type. Went to the lake and did not know there was huge tournament. 100k boats zooming around everywhere. We only managed a few sunfish one small walleye a Pickerel and some tiny perch. Got a bunch of gobis too. Trying again Monday if the wind stays down................

Started at Godfrey, like Friday I go with a couple of older fellas so 1000 is as early as I can get out. Like RJ says its about the company not the fishing. Went o shakleton  and around. Got real windy and was a real tough go coming back we drifted slot of it with poor mans downriggers. Ended up with 4 nice perch and a sunny. No eyes though.

So tomorrow is the pickerel\walleye tourney put on by Brewerton bait. I only joined the pickerel part so I am guaranteed to catch walleye. Fishing is from 6 till noon................

Well there were whitecaps and swells taller then the boat a few times, but we braved it. We each caught a small pickerel and a few perch and a whit perch.  I caught a 15 inch eye that was returned for another day. It was not my day though, I lost 2 very nice pickerel and a very nice eye,  they were close enough to see. We entered no fin in the tourney. We checked before we left and the best eye was 20 inches at 2.5# and there were no limits (4) of pickerel.  A handful of 3 .  First place was a bit over 4.5# for 3 fish when we left.  Normally 3 to 4 pickerel a guy is not a problem, but today was a bad day.......
