Well Gerry , I will be aboard the Mae but might just throw the waders along just in case too :)
Back in my day we would catch some good times on Labor Day weekend which we always went camping there at that time . Used to take the J- boat and fish for pike . Many times ended up in DSR with waders

Gerry I still have your number ;) my take on salmon season has always been once its too cold to wet wade; my seasons over...lol... But keep in mind I've stomped through fields that were frost bitten while wearing shorts... But then again it sometimes frosts as early as Sept. 15th... As most know its a put and take fishery but nature does take its course... If I see anything substantial I will keep you guys informed ;)

This is strictly tongue in cheek but you can thank the taxpayers of New York , not sporting license or DEC funds for the $576,000.00 repair to the roof of the SR fish hatchery .
Now what would that fishery be without us ..

576K to repair?  Hate to see the cost to replace!

Unfrikkin believeable!!!! Obviously shoulda been a sealed bid type as it is state/public money... Which in fact must go to the lowest bidder no its ands or buts.... With the little knowledge I have of construction costs, I find it really hard to believe that 576k was the low bid without it being some type of inside gig (in which all bidders were inside on the deal)... Happens all of the time in all shapes and sizes. We the people really need to start standing up for our rights to overthrow corruption in the Local, state, and federal funding programs!!!

I do believe they can award a contract if the situation is deemed to be an emergency and the delay by using standard protocol of sealed bids would create a greater problem.

Bahhh! If So, I think the greatest problem is 576k for a roof repair ... Unless tunas complete post was tongue and Cheek and this isn't true; that's completely ludicrous!
