Captain you can say that again.

I believe the world record Walleye caught from the Columbia River is 35" and 19.3 pounds.

Should ya keep it or release it?

The world record 'eye still stands at 22 lbs. 11 oz., caught in Greers Ferry Lake in Arkansas in 1982. I'm ok with anything 2 lbs. and up pullin' on my string.

In the 70's I commercial fished Georgian Bay of  Huron. I worked for a wonderful man that was a second generation fisherman and we associated with many other fishermen. We were fishing Whitefish in early November and got a half dozen Walleye in the end of a net. They were all over 10 lbs with the largest at 15. To this day the Walleye in those waters are not utilized by sport fishermen. Locals target the inland fish in back bays however the outer fish are not fished. Nothing like the Erie sport fishing.
