Booted and a hike and I’m first on the water.
Got in around 4:30 rolled straight to my chosen spot.
Find a comfy spot and wait for the sunrise..
People start arriving about 15 minutes after I got there.
All seemed nice and spaced out pretty good.
Then 10 minutes before legal start a buffoon wades straight across and sets up on my downstream shoulder.
Time comes and I’m locked on my second cast.
Couple jumps and spits.
Buffy hits one and also boots it but it was a king.
After that everyone was standing in the riff staring so intently that they forget to cast until they see something.
If I may opine for a second.
If its overcast and spitting rain and your polarized sunglasses are an critical part of your equipment you are not a fisherman by any sense of the word.
I crack off a king and decide its time to get away and set up camp.
Buy batteries because the Kodak I drowned now eats though them like the cookie monster.
Tried to get some shorts vids but haven’t figured out how to upload them as of yet.
Weht to see Malinda and buy some hooks and materials.
Then a quick drive around and back were I started.
Just as I got there and sat down to cool a bit from the walk a pod of chrome blew through later said to be 15 or 20.
Not a touch for me but the Jim Teeny wannabes poked several through the rest of the day.
Apologies to Jim Teeny who I have met and fished beside and in reality seems like an OK guy.
Also a note to mention BE CAREFUL OUT DRIVING .
THE DEER ARE BECOMING ACTIVE!
