In the past, today was "new license day."  For those of us who have been buying fishing licenses nearly forever, it is likely that our expiration remains today or very soon.  With the "new and improved" license system, I would advise getting a new one right away,  the system is still hiccupping.  I tried Monday and the seller told me their system was down they had talked to the state twice and were told it was their problem.  They were considering making it the state's problem and ending license sales.  The last thing you want is to hit Pulaski on your big trip, go to Woody's or All Season's, and find out the Albany system is not working once gain, and you just lost at least a part of a day on the river while you wait, or take a chance on not getting checked.   Also remember because of the "off the planet" support and financial return sellers have been receiving, there are a lot less of them. Even some of the town clerks have stopped selling them. So do what you can to get the new ticket ASAP (I know I can't hit the Genny at O dark 30 this Saturday because of the Monday SNAFU, I hope I can find a Walmart selling them tomorrow PM, pretty much all the Bait and Tackle dealers around here went under with the minnow restrictions, and the remaining ones close before I get out of work.)

The new system also allows the license to run from day of sale through the next 365 days.

Or if your a dummy like me and leave it at home. It expires on 10-15 and I was unable to get a new license that would be valid . Ended up with the $5.00 replacement

You would need a creditcard to buy it on line, I tend to deal with dead presidents.
