Lower-upper river should have some fish. I may take a walk in the backyard myself tomorrow

If I could get up there, I might be inclined to be back there, as that is some of my favorite water on the river!  And the ball park will be a zoo of yanking and chasing (or chasing and yanking!)

I can't do the ball park hole anymore...The worst of the worst are in that stretch.  It's worse than the trestle hole, and that's saying something.  The river gets fast in places and a newbie can get in trouble.  I was in the ballpark hole up stream of the lot in that big hole.  Some NYers were there slinging lead.  One of them said he "caught" 10 and it wasn't 9am!  Well, while slinging lead, he hit me in the head with his "fly" and I almost fell into the river...He knew he hit me hard and apologized...Wadda you gonna do?

Maybe, but his 1/4 ounce leaded sponge fly had me trumped.

BeenThereDoneThat.
Yinz guys can go elbow to elbow trying to catch them trouts.  I on the other hand appreciate a little open water where a guy can be close but still have some room to catch the real Silver Bullets.  Check out the real action on this video....... 10-4!

Yeah, that's OK, and i have caught bones. They don't jump .Landing ratio is  higher on bones than steel.  I also don't like palm trees. I've never seen a patch of flat as pretty as a salmon or steel  river anywhere, but that's just me and why I post on this forum.

I targeted bones once in Nassau with the famous Aaron bane. It was a tough day. Spotted maybe 10 bones... Finally got a choice cast (60') on two that were together. Retrieve stripped 3 different times til the fish was 20' from the boat and he finally grabbed it. First run was all of 200 yards to the reef... Came straight back at me... Then another 100+ yard. Finally brought to hand an estimated 7/8# bullet as per bane's estimate. I hope to fish them more often as I get older. Definitely a memorable catch of mine. Fichy I can see your point, but 1000's of salmon and steel have been on the end of my line, but the pursuit and catch of that bone stands out more so than most any salmonoid I've caught. I'm sure i would get jaded though after catching a lot of them

Yeah, bone fishing is way too elitist for me, I'll hang with the scum line on the SR.
