Why catch little trout when you can be on a steelie stream in a few minutes?
You still live in Erie?
The creek should be at or near normal level and fishable for this time of year. Blackstones should be picking up soon.

I think its more of a challenge catching fish on oil in the dh areas than it is catching steelies. Yea I still live in Erie, about 100 yrds from upper walnut.

It is still moving fast but it is fishable. I'm going as soon as I get a chance. Saturday for sure J.T.

Usually by this time of year I've had more than my fill of steelheading, anyway.

My brother fished Oil creek at petolium center area. They did ok, The water is up but clear. hope it helps.
