Was planning on trying my luck at Pine Creek for the first time tomorrow seeing as they stocked North Park Lake with some rainbow trout this week, I found an access point on Duncan Ave and Bryant Road, just trying to see if theres any better access points worth checking out in the DHALO. I was also thinking about checking out Loyalhanna Creek DHALO in Ligonier, still debating if that would be worth it in the current conditions unless someone has any other better winter trout spots around Southwest PA!

Do a search on this site for Pine Creek. I recall some guys discussing access points years ago. I’ve only fished the DHALO a couple times many years ago, so not much help. The access point that I hit was nice. Open area, didn’t seem like it would be Allegheny County. Much different than it is along Rt 8…. But some good fishing along Rt 8 if you don’t mind the atmosphere of the industry and busy road.

I live near the Deer Creek DHALO, there is a parking spot about 400 yards on the right right after you turn onto Campbell Rd from 910. There is a nice hole under the 910 bridge, and a few others up near Narcisi.
