Effective immediately, The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Pittsburgh District is pleased to announce that Woodcock Creek Lake is now a 20 horsepower lake! The decision to transition from 10h.p. to 20h.p. is a result of requests from you, our users. This move puts Woodcock in-line with similar surrounding lakes while at the same time maintaining the safety aspect that is so very important in small, shallow reservoirs such as Woodcock.
The mandatory Life Jacket wear remains in place. All Canoes/Kayaks/SUPs, all boats under 16 feet, all non-swimmers and all children 12 and under are mandate to WEAR a Life Jacket while recreating on Woodcock Creek Lake.
Questions can be directed to the Lake office at 814-763-4422.

I wonder how the fishing is a after that time the lake was drained and a lot of the fish were washed into the creek?

Unless they restocked it probably sucks. I was there the day it was drained. Just a shallow stream was left.

Hear there still some fish left. Maybe not as many numbers. Since the population thinned out might be some monsters growing.

Restock at Woodcock!

The U.S. Army Corps of engineers Pittsburgh District purchased a restock of fish that included 325 walleye, 250 muskellunge, 16,000 golden shiner and 32,000 fathead minnows. The restock was conducted to help replenish the fish population at Woodcock Creek Lake, which suffered a loss in March when a malfunction caused an unexpected drop in pool from the lake, sending many fish downstream. The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission partnered with the Pittsburgh District by conducting several fish studies over the months and offered guidance on which fish and how many to restock.
