A little breezy out but the snow is nice. No deer seen yet.

Caught a break in my schedule today so I will be in a tree this afternoon by 2:30 hopefully. Windy, but it is the right time of the year for good deer movement. Slight skiff of snow here as well.

Good luck.   I saw 3 nice bucks Wednesday but I was turkey hunting.   Bucks are definitely chasing but season over here in 2C.

Oh enjoying the bounty of the harvest. Made 4 3lb  summer sausages today with cheddar cheese. 2 with jalapenos and 2 with some Habanaro dust. They should be done in 4.5 hours in the smoker. Also going to make about 12 lbs of chip steaks. I break down the muscle sections of the hind legs wrap in plastic wrap and freeze then use my meat slicer and vac pack them in pound bags. They make a wonderful hoagie, add onions,garlic mushrooms and melted mozzarella. Decided to get this done and hopefully get back into the woods on better days. This November weather was not nice.lol

Well that pretty much sucked. Seen two lonely fawns. Was hoping their momma was being run around the woodlot by a buck but no such luck.

I didn’t see anything from the stand this morning. Sat until 9am. Went on a walkabout and put on over 3 miles and not many tracks seen. Did kick out a small racked buck and a few ufos on the tail end of the walk. Daughter wanted to take a break so nothing this evening. Knee is hurting after the walk so probably a good thing.

Almost got it done this morning on my last archery hunt of the general season, most likely. I climbed up in the dark and soon had a buck milling around my stand within 30 yards. Through the binoculars, I could make out a good set a antlers but his body was hard to see as we lost most of our snow already. I had no idea what I would be shooting through either so I elected to not take the shot hoping he would be back. Needless to say he did not return. Not sure what he was but there were at least 3 good tines sticking up on the one antler

Well Gene, all I can say about your (maybe) last of the season adventure today.
