It is new to them....only two of three ladder sections are on it.  All I could handle by myself with that big double ladder. 
 
Couple still walked right by it.  With us in it that low, not sure they would have gotten that close but hopefully, a bolt would have gone their way before they got that close.
 
Doesn't matter anyways as we haven't had much time to spend in it.  I am hoping the guy that went in with his climber 50 yards away got something and we don't have to worry about that in rifle.  
Might have a couple more archery sits left before then so we shall see.

Last minutes on light last day of archery, I had a buck come in and act the very same way.  Looking and sniffing and every bit aware I was there.  Stayed just outside my lanes and just would not take the chance, that I would miss.  Stupid deer.
 
Am I alone in thinking there is no definite sign, in the neck line, indicating Mr. Buck is in rut?  The one standing, laughing at me Monday eve, sure didn't have that tall tell swollen neck.
 
I know each animal is a bit different in their game of love, but I am surprised to see in either case, the tarsal glands giving no real indication the goofy critters have been marking much.
 
 
Gun season could be interesting this year and speaking of, where again did yinz say the Gun Season 2018 boards are posted??

I checked my cams yesterday lots of daytime bucks this week and even some chasing on cam but most just bucks roaming sniffing.Necks are really swelling up now.No new bucks but looks like 3 of the 5 have made it thru archery.I am hopeful for next year when some of these bucks GROW UP.I think there will be some rutty bucks yet during firearms I know I plan on hitting the grunt tube a few times...WCW

In the past couple of days, I've come real close to connecting with 2 different 8 pointers . . . with my car.  Locked up the brakes pretty good last night around 6:30 PM to avoid one about to step into my lane.  The other was in a 35 mph residential area in northern Allegheny County, so I had plenty of time to come to a stop, as he walked from one side of the road to the other.  
 
 

That explains it eyes, I thought it looked short for a ladder stand. What camera are you using?

Seen a true giant on my way home from work. I seen him coming off the berm of the road. Slowed down and he walked right in front of my car.  I bet he was pushing 160. Its amazing how the older deer wait for the real show to begin. This is the week, I think, when its happening.

A couple did, a couple walked right by it.  The one buck walking left to right in front of the cam, got spooked by something up on top of the hill behind the camera.  

It is what it is as I ain't changing it now....
Just glad to see something there and to be honest, didn't expect deer to come from the direction of where the camera was placed.  Just put it there to really keep an eye on the stand.

If someone tries to steal that beast good luck.lol But I shouldn't talk I've had my share of stuffed borrowed. 2 15' ladders, a lock on,2 camera's,hey even a van from my driveway.lol

rsquared, I got an idea watching a local farmer bringing in them big round bales of hay using a thing called a bale spear. So I'm gonna get me one them hydraulic snow plow lifts and weld a short pointy thingy to it and mount it on my vehicle. Maybe even two shorty pointy thingy's to keep Bambi from spinning after the thud, and I push the up button.
