That's always good news. The Shenango River (lower) has been runing as clear as I've seen in all the years I've fished it. The Walleye seem very healthy looking and make excellent eating. I know some people will disagree because of years past chemicals but the river has a huge volume of water flow year after year. I've seen nothing that will change our mind on Walleye they are firm, healthy, younger river fish. The river Walleye tend to be in the 16"- 20" range and are excellent eating. After all the years of past chemicals dumped in Erie and it's viral algae now present I know Shenango Walleye are no worse off. To me river Walleye, maybe due to cooler tempatures or current flow , have always tasted better. Especially when breaded ( Cheese It's ) and deep fried !
