I fished UC dam in June.  Not much water topside other than the creek winding through the mud.  Below, at the outflow, it was fairly low.  I fished down to the secondary overflow 'creek', but it was fairly shallow through most of that stretch.  I saw some carp spawning in those waters (again this was June), and I'm sure there were some 'fins and smallies hiding around there somewhere, but with all the good water to fish in that area, I decided to go somewhere else.  I have no idea what it looks like this time of year, but with all the rain this week, perhaps the water will be higher.  It was also a bit muddy/stained at that time, which I found strange because French was crystal up above and down below it.  Perhaps the creek winding through the muddy banks of the dry pool bottom caused it.  Still, I think it would be enjoyable to fish earlier in the season or later.
