No problem fishing just the PCB warnings on eating. Everybody forgets the Lake Erie warnings on eating fish too. Shenango is a don't eat any, much worse.
Catch and release fishing should be fine. Although I haven't fished it much this year I've spent many years on it ,living only 5 miles away.
Lots of Smallies to be caught now and I'm sure Catfish too. Most guys have backed off with the stopping of Trout stockings and the PCB warnings on Walleye. Naturally the higher Spring flow creates better Walleye fishing but Musky , Stripers are always around. I'd target the outflows first and work down river in the slower deeper waters for Musky. Best fishing is from the Sharpsville double bridges up to the sluices .
Stop at Thelma's Sport Nook and have some wings and a beer....both are reasonably priced. Real hungry....stop at Lock, Stock, and Barrel in the Sharpsville plaza ...biggest and best subs around for over 45 years ! Both are A+ for fishermen.
