Two skunks and a raccoon have been dispatched so far. I just ordered some fox urine and am going to try to make some sets with that.

Put some 1 inch meat chunks in a plastic bag outside in the sun -let it rot-don't leave it out at night-makes the best furbearer free BAIT.
Use it in dirt hole sets.
Make the holes first while the bait rots a few days and put meat pieces in the holes at night -getem used to coming around for free stuff.

Never been a trapper so I am doing  alot of learning on the fly.  I will try this set.

I have had two traps set off but nothing in them.  I took an ill fated shot at a fox 150 yards away with no success.

Are U still losing chickens?

if you find a hole under your fence set a small conibear trap in there that will kill him deader than hell. or make a hole and leave one chicken in there for bait. I would lean toward the half eaten one.or make a small hole by the fence. stick some guts in the back of it and set a pan trap. put a small stick in front of it so he steps over the stick and on to the pan and bingo. be sure to burry the trap and lightly cover with dirt. or youtube hole set

Got the sumbirch. I was unable to check yesterday so something tore it up and ate the ears off. Saved the tail and the rest was fertilizer. Any other fur on it decent for tying. I wanted to try to skin it , but after sitting for 2 days it was rank. I m sure there are more. Thanks Trev hole set worked good.
