Yes they will run that low water but the "lifters" will have a field day,I'm hoping for a  tropical depression to hit with some heavy rain to end the drought once and for all!

CONGRATS Bear--
Never had much problem with Smallies throughout the river in Summer but the Atlantics beat me--HARD.
Went to the Wire pool up top off and on for a few Summers and although they were visible - nada.
Had one or two great  hits but no hookups. Never tried below that hole.
Did walk in one day and stop to rig up before the river and saw two guys on the other side slashing and snagging.
They took off as soon as I got to the rivers edge and fish could be seen in the hole with fleshy rips on them.
Bumped into the Main RivaMaster (Fran) one day and he gave me the skinny on gear but have never been back up there to try his tips.
Now that I'm a visitor again it may not happen -ahhhh but to dream.
Am 69  today and thinking a lot about the River - may try a early trip as soon as they start to show- miss those late August lonesome walks casting to empty pockets and not caring one darned bit if there is a fish or not-  lol.

Just booked a couple of stays at mid river. As much as I have had it with the BS on the river I keep coming back for now. Too nice of a place not to. Fish or not it's always a great escape from reality. Jack I'm up there some of the days you are if you need a net man.

Hi Guys! Your favorite SR drift boat Guide is Back.

TODAY'S Salmon River Pulaski NY Fishing Report - Steelhead!
Still some fresh Salmon moving into the river with a reeeeel nice increase of Steelhead and Brown trout.
Looks like we are finally out of our sever drought and will have plenty of good water flows for your upcoming Steelhead and Brown Trout fishing adventures on the Salmon River NY.

With most of the Salmon spawning and dropping eggs in the Salmon River.
With this increase of water, combined with low light, cold rain and strong Westerly winds.
Local creeks running high and off color with Steelhead, Brown Trout and some left over Salmon moving into them.
With Brown Trout making a charge into the Salmon River for their Nov. spawn.

We are presently receiving a nice run of Steelhead and Brown Trout into the Salmon River as well as all of your optional local fishing Creeks, Rivers and Streams. Ye-Haa! Fish-ON!

Did you know?
There is only 1 BAD side effect from eating Salmon River NY Salmon? - Genital Shrinkage! ;)

Best Fish's,
