Seriously? You won't even help another angler out by telling him/her what you're using or color?
If that seriously is true I'd offer one word for you.....karma.

When I'm coming in from the dock and they ask....."What ya catch them on " I show them a jig and grubbies. It's rewarding when you offer ( and they take) some of your catch, especially when their using a big glob of worms on a #2 hook with a bobber big enough to choke a horse.

A blind man could fish pymatuning in april and may and catch fish!!!!!!There's not many secrets drift aroung stumps and back in bays and coves with bobbers and fatheads and most days its impossible not to catch fish!!!!!!!!even with giant bobbers and glob of nitecrawlers.Keep things near bottom gets lots of snags and you will catch fish!!!!!!!! not many secret spots at least not that many that arn't covered with straw hats and the spanish armarda!

It's 90% about how you ask, and 10% what you ask.

You just ask someone, "Where exactly are you catching all those crappie/trout/steelhead/etc?" and they're well within their rights to refuse to answer or outright lie.

You ask someone what to look for, what prime conditions are, or rough areas (say...not more specific than 1/4 of the water in question), and while they're still within their rights not to answer, doing so (or worse, steering you in the wrong direction) reeks of someone who's insecure (or...of course...blowing smoke about how much they catch).
