I am heading up to Tionesta next week to target musky for the first time in my new jet boat. Would I have a better chance with musky in the Lake or in the deep pool at town? Thanks

Never fished the lake, but a lot of musky come out of the river.  Plus you have a jet boat, you have to try it on the river.

Tionesta doesn’t have a river. The lake you have to keep plugging or troll. The allegheny river a lot of casting. Whatever one you can cover more water with.

Thanks for the comparison between the two I’m up here now and water is super high. I know there is no tionesta river. I was just trying to say I’m going to tionesta. Should I fish the river or lake for musky.

If the river is high and muddy then go to the lake. Remember your figure 8s next to the boat.

Well, my trip was a bust. The Lake was super high and could not access it. The Lake launch was closed, Nebraska launch was underwater 11’ or so. The river was like an overflowing glass chocolate milk. Hopefully this weekend will be better.
