It will take place on the Mighty Muddy Hudson once the Stripers make a showing next spring..
I assure you, It's always a party at the Marina..  Live bands Friday & Sat with a great restaurant and even better people.. Maybe you should think about a road trip to let your soulshine :)

I've crossed the mighty Hudson many a time but never fished her waters. Partys at the marina, great restaurant and live bands on the weekends. Stripers running next spring. Hell with that road trip thingy, I'm thinking moving. Lol

Sounds grand and my better half wouldn't hesitate 1 minute to move to the big water. Cept I don't want no rent or dadburn mortgage. 😕

Tuna Friday was a blast. I think our crew was a good trio :) psyched that you've made the decision to dock at the marina again next year. Laddy and I will make a good effort to help you man the soulshine when needed. Couldn't of asked for a better day on friday. We were persistent and ever changing our depths and covering alot of water and it paid off. Was a great let go day for me. Jack, I'll be sure to visit you guys when you're up!
I hit the river twice for a couple of hours and managed to have my first river battle of the season. Nothing to write home about though folks, but it may happen sooner than later ;)

Tuna is an awesome dude rt ! If I didnt miss getting out last season, this would've of been the fourth season in a row. Never thought I'd get in to the lake fishing but it's pulling me in for sure.

Hope they don't price me out in 5 years.. And Or I still have a friend or 2 in town..

I've been looking at the real estate ads lately, and while the prices are not climbing drastically around there, the taxes are getting outrageous!

L-13, prices are slowly climbing, but yes property taxes are soring. Yet, with some properties there is no rhyme or reason to the annual taxes on either end of the spectrum. I suggest looking in to properties that have old structures. They tend to be more lenient (oops should I edit this post..lol). But realize, people are slowly buying up these properties with such high tax amounts, and in a decade you will look back and say wow... that's my assumption. Look at orange County down state ny... what used to be rolling Farm fields are now 3-5 acre lots with McMansions and 15k annual tax bills... not saying that will happen full blown here but it's coming. The difference with this area is the tourist attraction. And a lot of tourists have money. And many are looking to invest in the area rather than pay the motels and hotels...

Ohhh the times, they are a changin'

Edit: but I do feel very strongly that the area will preserve it's north country heritage and wide open spaces

Wide open spaces full of windmills if the project goes in on the Central Tug Hill.  We pay the company subsidies to build the things, then have to buy the energy , too.  Sweet deal lining somebody's pockets!

What else is new... I've been suspect of corporatism clawing in on green technology for years now. But what I'm referring to discludes that. There will be plenty of open space for years to come around here.

They sold the general public on green technology to the point of blinding them from ulterior motives, and now here we take it right up the rear while the rich get even richer... "but it's for a good cause"... lol

Politics rant over...lol

Welll - wait till they prohibit walking anywhere even near those windmills.
Outdoor sports will be hurt- and all in the name of keeping them safe from bad guys.
Remember the plans for mills a bit up the Lake- guys were complaining they would have to go miles around to get out to fish due to the NO GO lines.
Remember when ya could park and fish near the power plant---
