Lurking on another forum-it came up so am looking for info. -figured our locals may know more.
Agree its not on any maps or even  ( from what I could see) on any of the state info available in regard to the large purchase already spoken about here.
All the  aforementioned transfers  seemed above town and regarded  the Power Co. lands from what I had read.
All the aforementioned purchases appeared to be up on Tug.
Wondered if this was something new??? or possibly a misinterpretation of the old info.

r3 might you be familiar with the Bald Eagle State Park in central PA? That's where you will find the Nature Inn conviently located overlooking the Sayers Reservoir?

Been a while but I'm thinking the resort was trimmed down (drastically) from the original plan.

Of course, Bald Eagle was an already established state park so no land transaction need take place.

Do you suppose somebody might be interested with getting into the resort business?

I checked the Real Estate listings for up there, and could not even find it listed for sale anymore.  Background business information says the dairy makes a pretty good buck, did not say anything about leases or land sales.  However, with the hurdles that State Agencies have to jump for press releases lately, it may just be taking a long time for the announcement, if anything did happen.

Checked listings and transfers also Lucky and found nothing before posting it as a question.
If I recall the long standing sign on the field alongside the SR, it may have been that the field and frontage were separated from the rest of the farm.
There was  Forum chatter about it back when folks first noticed that signage.
Again, kinda think this is a bit of a stretch, being tossed in by some, with the other transfers and purchases by the State.
Felt it may be better addressed by some locals who likely know more than me. ( now that I am no longer there 70 or 80 days a year).

Really missing  those days, the area and folks up there, as well as year round fishing opportunities.
Going up every couple of weeks just to mow the lawn and keep the place looking Ok just became a place too far after a number of years.
Am again reduced to  a POS outa stater and mid week warrior status--lol.
Still maintain a keen interest in the area though -cant just turn that off.

I thought I saw a new sign along the tree line before it drops in to the river basin the other day... signs up front are gone as well

If the Joss property has in fact been sold to another private landowner what impact will it have on access to the lower parts of DSR from the parking lot side of the river?  How far does the Joss property extend into the river at the Joss Hole?  I've had some epic days fishing the Joss Hole and would be disappointed if access was now limited.
