So i guess we are coming to that time of year when everyone and their grandmother will be packing into linesville for the walleye.  I cant wait to get up there and have ppl throw rocks at the boat and get lines all crossed.  Ah yes the good days are soon coming

I may come up just to watch the maddness, cause there is no way I'm trying to fish in that mess

It is definitely worth watching...Talk about hilarious!!!  I will go and just watch for an hour or so (depending on how bad my stomach hurts from laughing)...

It amazes me how many ppl will keep a snagged fish.  Is a walleye really worth the fine?  I may take the kayak out this year and fish, but its just so much fun watching the mayhem!

I talked to one of the park rangers and they said they are going to have more undercover guys working it this year to try and catch the snaggers and the guys keeping more then their daily limit...how true that is? I don't know, but I hope they do...

It's the pymatuning equivalent to walnut creek for steelhead.  I hope there aren't more undercover guys....I frequently forget to take my license with me.

I used to forget taking my license also , so I keep it in my tackle box . Works well , but if you have multiple boxes like many of us do , you have to remember to put it in the right box for the day .

Yea I love it,been doing it since the 70's,it was more fun then no crowds just a few local boys and me,I caught 9 lbers then and still get some huge ones now,I really don't like eating the big ones,I release all big ones 18-22 I keep if hooked in mouth, all snagged fish go back. Two years ago snagged a huge 9 lb plus fish in the gill cover,I released her, only to have a local that lives there 24-7 get her 20 minutes later the same way and keep her. They will never shut down the spillway,to much revenue, under cover cops 24-7 unless the run is over. Most of you are young guy's but I can still see THE BEAVER ( and old warden)standing on the bridge all night waiting for someone to keep a snagged fish.I've taking many limits of fish there and most where caught with wardens watching and never been fined, all fish I ever kept had the sonar or vibe-e in the mouth. Yes as some of you don't believe they do hit them, also caught piles of them  wading the rocks in front of the spillway on jigs or tipped w/minnows,the islands wading, and below the damm in the river.

Ppl keeping a snagged fish doesn't surprise me as much as the ones that throw rocks at boats . I do undertand that somewhat though when the ppl in the boat are at the Spillway & pull up and anchor 10' from " the wire " when there are shore fishermen trying to fish . Both groups are wrong , the boat fisherman wrong ethically , should give the shore guys consideration and the shore guys wrong morally . What if their thrown rock does serious physical damage to the person in the boat ?   No doubt some will argue that both are correct in their behavior . On the other hand , I've seen guys toss M80s - M 1,000s at the boats that get too close . The big ones really make a large splash when they go off in the water .

10 feet would be nice, most of the boaters tie to the wire, and drop their anchor within a rod lenth. One year a Amish guy would not pull his anchor when my fish got around it I lost three fish and 3 Vibe-E on his anchor rope. After his 4 man team limited out I made him pull over and get my Vibe-E out of his anchor rope. I'm not going to get into a ****in match but I've seen way more Steelheads lifted or snagged through the years at Erie, some guy are unbeliveable at it. I don't need fish that bad,My son and I have caught tons of crappie and big gills this winter.
