we were moving some stuff for a friend sat afternoon . then on the way home my 19 year old said hey dad let's stop at the graval pit's . so to poor richard's we went for some fathead's & grub's.

a small brown trout as soon as we got there.

a little rock bass.

and a small perch.

he didn't do so well this time. so he just fished & took pic's.
well he'll get some pic's when we go out after crappie's when it warm's up in a few day's.

well you can't have all work & no play.

I snorkled there last august and was surprised to see the bottom covered with gobys. Try the south west end of the pond there are two spots where the springs feed up through the bottom and the brownies all collect there you can see hundreds of them in warm weather just hugging the bottom in the cool water.

20 some years back I used to hit the pit and snorkle annually would come out with some nice fishing outfits that were snatched from the bank. Would have more than enough bobbers and splitshot spinners spoons ect. did the same at elk creek every spring just loaded with tackle on logs and shale bottom.
