From the looks of it, thats the island just north of the fireman's beach.  I may be mistaken, but that's what it looks like to me.

SOUTH END IS WIDE OPEN... NO ICE!!! DON'T KNOW BOUT THE NORTH END BUT YOU CAN DEFINITELY FISH THE SOUTH... ENJOY!

ice is gone and the fish have not turned on yet. Lake is still up about 2 feet.

the crappie 'frenzy' lasts a few days... you hit it or you don't... it doesn't always happen on the same set of days in each region of the lake...  one day the south end, silver shores, between iroquois and point, fireman's, north  end , watertower inlet, clp, the weed point between park and big bay, and of course the canal... best time to  target is after 2 wks of ice out- first day it hits over 60 degrees... if you find one of these super bite days, by all means, POST THE WATER TEMP!!! THIS IS THE KEY... look for gravel bottom where the weed growth has empty patches...
