With the 2 inches of rain Greenville had the other day and all the rain this week that's coming the river will be higher than one could fish it safely. They usually make the run early in the year right around when the season goes out, mid March. Last year they ran early but we had 80 temps in Early April. I would say somewhere around the 2nd or 3rd week of May and there should be a good bite on. Yes they come up from the lake. With the high water levels in the dam I don't know how that will effect the fish going up the river this year.
