All done iceing it here in my little piece of Penn's Woods but, what a stellar season it was.

Next up, ice out, botor moat fishing.

Fishing 74 foot water today. 24" ice.
Still the fish are laughing at me as I feed them free meals and jerk my rod excessively.

I'm home after 3 days chasing Lakers. Fishing was fantastic !! Weather was Fantastic !! Friendship was fantastic
!! Catching, was not to be.
Wouldn't change it for anything.
I seen fish, I shared good Times and the weather treated us kind.

Can't wait to do it again !!!

Another strike out ! Today I marked very few fish. Defeat is starting to set in but I'm not done yet.
Still 18" ice . I was over 150 fow.
Try, try again Sat and Sun. At least the weather has been kind and I'm having fun trying

Only the die hards icing around here and my life is not worth the chance. If I have to spud out , watch every step and ''hope'' its not my last one it's not worth it.

Clint, there are still trucks driving on the ice up here over 200fow. I think my life is safe from falling in , at least for now .
In about 2 weeks, my butt may get wet getting off . Then I'm done for season

I always go out because it just takes 1. You never know when that will happen if your in the game. Most times, it's not even catching that makes my adventures fantastic. Being in the woods or the water is what never defeats the purpose.
Unfortunately, some things I have thought were great 20 some years ago have become not such interest today.
Crowds , pressure and garbage turned me off from those areas .
If I was a young man, I'd think nothing of it and march on but it's a peaceful solution I hold towards the future
