Just putting this out . From February 16th until the 25th I will be fishing hard. My motel is booked at maple leaf in schroon lake, It's great place to stay and Rick is very good to accommodate. The rest of the week will be bouncing around between trout and panfish. My place is also accommodating to the right folks if they pm me and water is 15 minutes for perch to 1.25 hr for Lakers on lake George.

As always though, I'm fishing hardwater until there is no more. I'd expect that to be about late March and possibly April

Thanks fisherlady. Yesterday I had waders and rain gear on fixing a main water line break at my mother's house.
Today me and my brother in law put 38 nice perch on ice. Could have been more if we wanted but I got enough to clean .

Back to laker grounds next weekend

I love fishing for perch....heck, I love fishing for blue gill, crappie or any other pan fish....but I hate cleaning them! Their nasty gill plates and fins tear up my hands. I still like to do a couple good perch trips a year, but every time I take off my medical gloves and wash my hands for the next week the little fish get some revenge, lol.

I hear that about cleaning but I'm finished 😁 and once the tater tots get cooking, I'm gonna batter those sweet filets up. So much more worth then a trout to eat for me.

Gotta get me one of them cordless electric knife. The cord was a pia but the music was great. Just say " hey Google play wdst "

Seen a few fishers out . W guys didn't have shanty and didn't last long. The group in the picture came after and set up where 1st guys were. Both running tip ups. Both to shallow. I only drilled 3 holes and most came from 1.
